Red Velvet Action by Temperate-Sage Red Velvet Action by Temperate-Sage
Like I said weeks ago XP I am releasing this action for use by you! This is my first action to become available to you! More to come in the future. =D If you are a fan of my works and potentially a photographer who admires my style, this is a super cheap and beneficial way to support the continuation of my artwork! =)

If you don't know how to use Action Files here is a short easy tutorial showing you how: [link]

Anyways down to the nitty gritty of rules and suggestions:
-The contract included in the purchase of this content has a commercial license. That means you can use it for distributed content as long as you are not distributing a .atn file. This is included in the DA contract included.

-This action was created in Photoshop CS5. I can only guarantee that this image will be compatible with CS5 and CS6. Though they should work with newer programs and might work with older versions of CS.

-To add the files to your photoshop action bank all you have to do is double click the action file located in this folder and it should open up photoshop with the action in your action bar.

-The "Red Velvet" action is primarily for images that are very bright with bright backgrounds and slightly darker subjects and foregrounds. A good example is a model on a beach (bright light) who is faced toward the camera with the sun behind them. See examples.

-If you have an image that you think would work that is slightly too dim, I have found that you can add more brights and midtone highlights with levels adjustments right before using this action to get better results.

Rules:
-You may use this action for commercial and personal works with the purchase of this action from deviantart or etsy.
-You may not redistribute this action as a .atn in any way!

These look really beautiful. I also like the warning that you give, it's useful for those who wish to download (and it made me laugh)!

Thank you very much! XD I figured it would be a good warning to give since any image with flash like qualities would end up looking like that. XP

So, I don't know much of anything about these things, so, when you download them, how to you get to them to use them?

Mine is in a zip folder and I use the program winrar to zip and unzip that folder. After that you should see a read-me, a thumbnail image like the image that shows off the action here and an ACTION (ATN file type) labeled (red velvet action). All you have to do is double click the ACTION file and it should bring up your CS photoshop. From there you just have to have your actions window open (if it isn't already) from the windows drop down. My action bar is on the right side of photoshop. The action should be labeled: Red velvet action (as the folder) under that there is a button that says "go" if you click on that button and then hit the play button on the bottom of your action window while you have a picture open it should apply the changes to your image. =) Hmm, I should make a video tutorial for this. XP I will get right on that!
